We will take our first BIG science test on Friday the 20th of September.
How should we prepare? First, magnetism and electricity are connected topics, but it is easiest to study them as separate topics. So begin with magnetism.
1. Go through your notebook and make sure all the magnetism terms are in a Word Dynamo list. Then play all the games that Word Dynamo creates. This will help you do well on the vocabulary section of the test. You should have already set up a Word Dynamo magnetism list from class work, but perhaps you were absent.
2. Google Bill Nye magnetism videos. He is a super kid friendly scientist from the USA and he has many videos. We watched one in class and put it into our You Tube playlist. Remember to open your GMAIL and then go to "MORE" and then to "YOU TUBE". This will get you into your You Tube account.
3. Use Mrs. Warner's website and go to the science tab at the top. Look for all the magnetism videos and websites. There are lots...

4. Look at the terminology pre-test that I give you in class this week, and make sure you understand the questions that you missed.
Now, how should we prepare for the Electricity section of the test.
1. Again, your Word Dynamo list is crucial. We began this in class, but some of you only entered 5 words.
2. We will create Google Presentations in class and at home this week. This will help you study for the questions about circuits, parallel circuits and series circuits, and the difference between static and current electricity, and the like. Your presentation will become a study guide, and it is fun to make one! This link is the presentation that you will "Make a copy" of and rename as your own. That way you change your presentation, not my presentation.
